Syracuse University Chancellor Kent Syverud addressed the University Senate for the first time in the 2017-18 academic year on Wednesday, Sept. 6. Syracuse Announces $500,000 Annual Fund Gift Challenge from Barnes Family
Steve W. Barnes ’82, chairman of Syracuse University’s Board of Trustees, and his wife, Deborah, today pledged support for Opportunity Syracuse, an ambitious fundraising effort aimed at raising $40 million in new student scholarships. The Barnes Family promised an annual fund challenge gift of $500,000 to match new and increased gifts made this fall to grow the University’s commitment to opportunity for promising students.
